Overview

Advanced engineering and manufacturing technologies form the basis of future innovation in industry. Workforce skills in these areas are key to increasing efficiency, productivity and competitiveness of modern manufacturing. The Diploma of Engineering – Technical provides you with the practical skills in organising and analysing information, interacting with computing technology and selecting engineering materials.

Completion of this Diploma will provide you with direct entry into Site Institute’s RII50515 Diploma of Civil Construction Design and 8 units of course credit.

Pre-requisites

Students should be a minimum of 18 years of age. and must have completed Year 12 or equivalent. Non school-leavers are selected according to eligibility and merit, vocational experience, previous study and personal competencies. English language requirements: IELTS 5.5 (with no individual band less than 5.0) or equivalent.

This Diploma prepares students for careers as a CAD Draftsperson, Mechanical Engineering Technician, or mid-entry level positions in the general Engineering industry. Completion of this Diploma can provide you with a pathway into a Bachelor degree at leading Australian Universities. Take advantage of our articulation arrangement with Southern Cross University and gain a full year of credit into their Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours).
